ARGOS ANNOUNCE 2009 HUDDLE UP STUDENT SUMMIT

Toronto – The Toronto Argonauts Football Club is proud to announce the third annual Huddle Up Student Committee Summit. The summit is comprised of students from GTA schools that were visited by the Argos Huddle Up Bullying Prevention Program, presented by Tim Hortons, throughout the 2008/2009 academic year.   

 

More than 280 students will be ready to brainstorm and share real ideas that helped keep their schools safe from bullying behaviour. Argos Manager, Community Relations, Jason Colero and educator Kim MacCullum will address the large groups, while Argos players WR Obed Cétoute, OG Taylor Robertson and LB Richard Seigler and Argos Cheerleaders Brigitte, Alesandra and Kassandra will lead small group discussions.

 

Jason Colero enthused, “The Huddle Up Student Committee Summit is always a great way to conclude the Huddle Up Bullying Prevention Program for another academic year. The goal here is to produce and share real, preventative solutions that have already been implemented by these students. It’s nice to see all of our partnering schools, with support from the Canadian Safe School Network, come together and share ideas on how to make, not only theirs, but the entire school community safer.”
